Actor Richard Harris passed away on Friday. He was 72 years of age. While Mr. Harris made his name in movies made before those of my generation were even born, we were able to know him through roles such as Marcus Aurelius in Gladiator and the beloved old headmaster Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.
It was just last year that Mr. Harris was canonized in his first action figure, one of Dumbledore in Mattel's HP line. The figure suffered from an unfortunate reverse-casting mistake of one arm, making it look as if his arm had been broken and twisted behind his back, but the likeness was good. Mr. Harris, you will be missed.
