Direct the future of Marvel Legends

Hasbro is currently running a poll asking fans what they'd be willing to pay for the highest-quality Marvel Legends, or what we'd be willing to forego to keep the prices low.

The choices currently seem to be:

  • $25 - same as we get now
  • $20 - no BAF pieces
  • $20 - no face-printing
  • $20 - no extra accessories

After you finish the poll, you get a discount code for Hasbro Toy Shop, too.

I guess voting for an idiot who'd blindly start a trade war with the country where all our toys are made WASN'T a good idea. If only there had been some way to know this ahead of time...

Oh how I hate Donald Trump. First he causes the prices to go up from $14.99 to $19.99 in 2014 now four years later he's bringing the prices up to $25!
Not defending Donald Trump but he's not responsible for ALL of the world's problems, just most of them. Hasbro's already been moving their factories out of China so I highly doubt this is Trump's fault.

Eh, that's fair. I didn't know Hasbro had been moving factories. But while prices have gone up in the past (and will go up again in the future), the timing is suspicious at least: after all, the quality of the figures has been on an upward swing, getting more impressive accessories and the better face paint apps. If they knew these price changes were coming, it's weird they'd introduce such an expensive thing just before.

(Unless, of course, the plan was to get us used to the level, and then have us "choose" to take the price hike, removing the blame from Hasbro itself...)

I suspect that Hasbro is using the vintage ($19.99, no BAF) and the Marvel Studios ($24.99, no BAF) lines as test cases for the new pricing.

I can't imagine anybody voting against the new face printing, it's just so much better than the old stuff. Especially that Star Lord head.
