''The number one complaint about MotU Classics was their size. This is our opportunity to change it.''

''By making the new ones smaller?''

''...''

''By making them smaller, right?''

So... Mattel still finding ways to screw up, huh?

i thought the number one complaint was cost and distribution. that's certainly why i never managed to get any. especially here in the UK. Never mind. I'll get a couple of these Revelation ones for my shelf instead.

By the way your Ram-Man review. I don't have that figure but MotU Origins (and the Masters of the WWE Universe figures) are pretty modular so most of their arms, legs, heads, torso etc can separate and be swapped about so I assume Ram-Man's arms do same even though his mold is completely different to everyone else's.

Oh and by the way. That part about it pretty much just being He-Man and Skeletor Origins figures? So different to the UK. The store I was in last week had tons of characters like Orko, Roboto, Teela, Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw, Man-At-Arms etc... no He-Man or Skeletor at all. None. Not even the new Battle Armor versions. Pass us some of those He-Man and Skeletors you have. 😛

Yeah, sometimes distribution is pretty crazy. Like, Transformers-wise we have a lot of the Netflix exclusive toys (e.g. the Zombie Bots or Deesus Drones), but virtually nothing from the 2nd wave of Earthrise.

Pimp Destro lines the shelves of our local Toys R Us (despite allegedly being an exclusive), but I've only ever seen any other G.I.Joe figures _once_.

Haha! You could make a fortune swapping figures with US fans! (If shipping things back and forth didn't eat up all the profits, that is...)

        • Ai Muhao says:

Hahah. Yeah, it's always the shipping, isn't it? Maybe if they go into clearance and it becomes a whole lot cheaper to buy that might make it worth it.

Heck, I just saw an entire shelf of the gold-hued Cobra Commander (which I believe was supposed to be the rarer variant) and only a single 'normal' Cobra Commander.

          Hi there !
Re: Motu Origins, the situation is pretty much the same here in France : the only characters available in toy stores are He-Man and Skeletor.. and that's it. If you want the other characters and the vehicles and the Castle Grayskull playset, you have to order them online (from French eBay sellers, for instance).
Not sure why the distribution is so lame, but it definitely sucks. Mattel France, what's going on with you guys ?

In Canada, shelves are CLOGGED with Ram Man and Clamp Champ. I have seen Teela once, no Orko, original Evil-Lyn, Man-At-Arms. The other ones came and went so if the cartoon was to be represented by what's on the shelf, it would be Ram Man and Clamp Champ and the Masters of the Universe. That should be the first movie. No He-Man or Skeletor. The GI Joe movie would be the same. Just a movie about Cobra Commander and Road Block (who you'd rarely see). And the army on either side to control would of course be well-fed scalpers:)

    • Ai Muhao says:

Oh, same here, though at least Road Block is backed up by Arctic Storm Shadow. Hahah. But maybe Storm Shadow is using Naruto's Shadow Clone technique.

Too bad Cobra Commander doesn't pull a Doctor Doom and have an army of B.A.T.s in his image, huh? It's just row after row of Pimp Destro and Bling Cobra Commander. It's almost like the Cobra Trooper is the boss and those two are the countless legions of underlings.
