One Response to Transformers Bumblebee: the Fall of Cybertron

Man, I'd completely written off the live action Transformers films as stupid wastes of time (e.g. killing off ALL the big name Decepticons like Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave so you're left with no-names like Lockdown, making a big noise about the Dinobots or the Constructicons but they're basically nameless cameos), but I really enjoyed the Bumblebee film.

The Cybertron battle scenes really did a lot to hype me up, especially with Soundwave and Shockwave sounding a lot like their old G1 counterparts, but it was just nice to be able to tell at a glance who is who. But it was also the little things that made me feel like someone who actually enjoyed the franchise made it, like when Bumblebee and Dropkick mimicked the bit in the opening sequence of the G1 cartoon (where Skywarp throws Jazz, Jazz transforms in mid air and drives around before transforming back into robot mode to punch Skywarp).

I'm actually kind of excited for a Transformers film now... though the fact that it has the Maximals and Predacons involved has me wary.
