There is nothing he can't defy, no stunt he can't perform or individual he can't beat. His racing is fast and elegant, just like his philosophy of life.

Swizzle is actually only the second boy we've had in these Sugar Rush racers - it's pretty impressive that a character-based videogame like that would use so many female characters, when most games only manage one token female unless the game is specifically aimed at girls. The Swizz looks like an Oompa Loompa, what with the orange skin and green hair. His clothes are blue and green, with no real "candy" theme evident in them.

His car, the Tongue Twister makes up for that though: it's clearly just a Unicorn Pop with wheels. Whirly Pop wheels. The lollipop's stick pokes out the back of the car, and matching sticks hold up the spoiler and act as struts for the wheels. And of course, the set includes one of the coins to launch the car across any sufficiently hard surface.

When he's sitting in the car, Swizzle's colors are slightly less obtrusive: the driver's seat is right by the blue and green stripes, so his hat just looks like an extension of the vehicle. The Tongue Twister is 4⅞" long, 2⅛" wide, and 2" tall. The colors are all bright and plasticky, suiting the style of lollipop. You ever tried one of these things? They last forever, but taste terrible. So converted to race terms, would that mean the car has tons of endurance, but puts out a lot of smog? Or are we over thinking it?

The racer sets are sold in nice boxes that display the toys well. The entire top is clear, allowing full views of the car and the figure (as well as the golden coin key). The bottom of the display is pink and white checkerboard, showing the start/finish line, while the back shows some of the grandstands - The Swizz's own hard candies, the heart lollipops that cheer for Taffyta Muttonfudge, and the gumballs that are on Team Snowanna Rainbeau. This is a really lovely display, perfect for MOC collectors.

And now, some more OAFEry:

Rustin's Spoils of the Week #80

Toy Shop

Wreck-It Ralph 2: Comfy Princess Mulan review

Wreck-It Ralph 2: Comfy Princess Cinderella review

Vanellope Von Schweetz addendum

Lover of adrenaline, Swizzle "The Swizz" Malarkey thinks that life must be lived to the last breath.
