#185 - Sailor Zombie\/Leg Bite Zombie<\/h3>\n

Survival Tip: Dispatching zombies is best done in pairs. That way, one \"Sailorof you can distract the zombie while the other goes in for the kill. Zombies can't focus on more than one target at a time.<\/i><\/p>\n

We've got to admit, it's kind of cool that Art Asylum does these \"survival tips\" for the zombie Minimates, since it's not like they really have individualized bios. This zombie (who I'd say is more \"French\" than \"Sailor\") comes from the cover of Hardcover Book 3<\/a>. He has a black and white striped shirt, and is wearing a red neckerchief. The majority of his wounds - the torn mouth, the damage to his torso, the utterly destroyed<\/b> arms - have been made up for this Minimate, but it all looks good. He does come with a pair of normal arms, if you prefer. But why would you?<\/p>\n

Survival Tip: Zombies tend to follow a herd mentality, traveling \"Legin groups as small as two or as large as 100. So you should never assume a zombie is alone; there is probably another one nearby.<\/i><\/p>\n

This zombie, based on the first one Rick sees<\/a> in the comic, was called \"the 'Cute' Zombie\" when the series was solicited (because back then<\/a>, he had a logo on his shirt which read - appropriately enough - \"Cute\"). He was also shown with a new lower leg that was sculpted with damage, but on the final product it's just painted. Clearly the budget didn't work out. The left shin is just about the only part of the zombie's body we never see in his three-page appearance, which may be why AA chose to place his catastrophic injury there. He has dark hair<\/a>, and is painted with blank eyes.<\/div>\n

#186 - Andrea\/Amy\/Stabbed Zombie<\/h3>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

A former clerk at a law firm, Andrea has been with the group since \"Andrea\"the beginning, when she, Dale<\/a> and her sister Amy lived alone in the RV. Over time, her uncanny skill with firearms has made her an invaluable asset to the group.<\/i><\/p>\n

Andrea first appeared in issue #2 of the comic, and became one of the major characters. This version is taken from the group's time at the prison - as evidenced by her orange pants and the trademark scar on her face - and she looks furious. If we had to narrow it down to a specific issue, we'd say this was from her Big Damn hero<\/a> moment in #47: she's got the revolver holstered on her hip, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, and also comes with her Anschutz .22 LR sniper rifle.<\/p>\n

\"Amy\"College student Amy was returning to school with her sister Andrea when their car broke down. Picked up by Dale<\/a> in his RV, they became the core of a group of survivors, until their campsite was attacked and Amy was killed.<\/i><\/p>\n

Poor Amy. She's the first human to die in the series, then she had her face stolen by her sister. Okay, not really. This image<\/a> sums it up nicely, but the short version is that the way Andrea looked early in the book is different from the way she looks later in the book, and her later appearance is functionally identical to Amy, leading some people to conclude that the artist got confused about who's who, and rather than \"fix\" it after a few issues, they just went with it.<\/p>\n

Amy is wearing her grey hoodie, black shorts, and tall brown boots. She's armed with a bat, and has the same hair piece that Andrea had. The figure also includes a second head with an alternate face that accurately re-creates her a-zombie-just-bit-my-neck \"YEARGH\" face, as seen in issue #5. For maximum accuracy, there's also a second, bloodstained hood.<\/p>\n

Survival Tip: Stabbing a zombie in the head through a chain-link fence sounds good on paper, but if you're not careful you can lose your knife, and even injure \"Stabbedyour hand. Inserting your knife into a block of wood keeps it safe.<\/i><\/p>\n

That \"tip\" is very specifically about this zombie: he appears on the first few pages of issue #20, where Glenn<\/a> is doing exactly that with a knife. In fact, you think that's a sword though his head? It's not. It's a long knife jammed through a block of wood. The colors are weird: in the comic<\/a>, he had black hair and was wearing a black suit jacket; on this Minimate, the hair is white, and he's wearing a mustard yellow vest. Huh? We can accept the wounds on the face, and the lack of an arm (it was never shown in the book), but why change the colors so drastically? Because of the way variants are handled, we end up with two Stabbed Zombies; would it have been so expensive to repaint one correctly?<\/p>\n

Andrea's change in appearance has never been addressed in the comics, but it's easy enough to handwave: in the early days of the outbreak, she was still concerned with her appearance, so she took good care of her hair and wore makeup to hide her freckles; as time went by, she realized how foolish that was, and adopted a more \"natural\" look. There ya go, simple! Having two mis-colored Stabbed Zombies may not be great, but if you get both Harrison sisters, you can customize one of the zombies yourself.<\/div>\n

#187 - Michonne\/One-Eyed Zombie<\/h3>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

A lawyer and mother of two, Michonne lost everything \"Michonne\"in the outbreak. To escape from her zombie-surrounded home, she put collars and chains on her dead boyfriend Mike<\/a> and his best friend Terry<\/a>, and was able to pass unhindered.<\/i><\/p>\n

This figure is clearly based on Michonne's first appearance on the cover of issue #19<\/a>. She's wearing a green jacket, yellow scarf, white shirt with blue vest, a pink skirt, black capri pants, and black boots with one green sock and one blue sock. Her hair is a new piece that doesn't sit down as far on her head as you might expect, and improbably, the pattern on her skirt is sculpted in rather than being painted. As you'd expect, she's armed with her sword.<\/p>\n

Survival Tip: Zombies do not attack their own, so traveling with a pair of disarmed zombies is one way to go unnoticed. Smearing yourself with the rotted innards \"One-Eyedof a zombie is another way, if you can handle the stench.<\/i><\/p>\n

This zombie comes from the same issue as Michonne - he's one of the ones the survivors shoot while clearing out the prison. All that's ever seen of him is his head and shoulders<\/a>, so the entrails wrapped around his left hand and the fact that the entire right side of his body looks like beef jerky is all invented for this Minimate. Weirdly, the designers seem to have drastically misinterpreted the source artwork: the thing that is meant to be an eye hanging from his ruined head is instead here a hole molded down into<\/b> the face. What the heck is that about? The head, torso, right arm, left hand, and right leg are new pieces, molded with their damaged textures.<\/div>\n
