And after the 1997 appearance, he didn't show up again <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comics.org\/issue\/300342\/cover\/4\/\" target=gcd>until 2005<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Gamora and Drax had did have some \"appearances\" in between their respective deaths and resurrections, but those were flashbacks and mental images, not the real things. Still, the main point stands: these are all characters who were at some point unpopular enough to fall into limbo, and now they're major movie stars.
