In the span of just three years, Marvel managed to throw together a pretty impressive stable of horrors to scare the pants off you.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you'll notice that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/yo\/mlwm_mon.php\">Zombie's<\/a> got an asterisk after his name, like he's Roger Maris trying to pull in a homerun record. Why is that, you ask? Because <i>Tales of the Zombie<\/i> wasn't first actual appearance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/zombie1.jpg\" width=\"370\" height=\"255\" title=\"Menace #5 and Tales of the Zombie #1, 20 years apart\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p>The character in that comic was actually taken from <i>Menace<\/i> #5, originally published in July, 1953.
