{"id":21443,"date":"2016-01-15T03:13:34","date_gmt":"2016-01-15T08:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/?p=21443"},"modified":"2016-01-18T20:57:31","modified_gmt":"2016-01-19T01:57:31","slug":"star-wars-black-series-rey-bb-8-addendum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/2016\/01\/star-wars-black-series-rey-bb-8-addendum\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Wars: Black Series Rey &#038; BB-8 addendum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey look: here's Rey.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sw7bs1rj10.jpg\" title=\"desert pals\" width=\"350\" height=\"435\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onmouseover=\"this.src='http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/yo\/art\/sw7bs1rj7.jpg'\" onmouseout=\"this.src='http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sw7bs1rj11.jpg'\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sw7bs1rj11.jpg\" title=\"improved BB-8\" width=\"135\" height=\"195\" class=\"alignleft\">You may recall that our review of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/yo\/sw7bs1rj.php\"><i>Black Series<\/i> Rey<\/a> was less than enthusiastic - so much so, in fact, that BB-8 won \"Best Accessory\" in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/articulation\/1512.php\">ToY Awards<\/a> because he was doing the heavy lifting when it came to selling that pack.<\/p>\n<p>Now, however, a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/?p=11208\">wave<\/a> of Series 1 is shipping, and the figures have some minor changes. For instance, BB-8 now has a paint wash on his body, not just on his head, making for a better cohesion between the two. Both halves look like they belong together, making a great accessory even greater.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onmouseover=\"this.src='http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/yo\/art\/sw7bs1rj2.jpg'\" onmouseout=\"this.src='http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sw7bs1rj12.jpg'\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sw7bs1rj12.jpg\" title=\"vastly improved Rey\" width=\"80\" height=\"120\" class=\"alignright\">But what's really impressive is the redone paint on Rey. The body is mostly the same (the paint on her belt seems a little tighter, but still within normal variances for a mass market action figure), but her head has been completely redone.
