The new Transformers BotBots<\/i><\/a> have made their first retail appearance (at Walmart in a \"stocking stuffers\" PDQ display), so it's time to start planning which ones you want.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

There are two different codes on the back of the packaging: one serial number, which looks mechanical and precise, stamped along the right-hand edge; and a rougher, one- or two-digit number under the Hasbro logo in the corner, one that almost looks hand-written. You want the \"carved\" number:<\/p>\n

Figures with an asterisk are exclusive to the blind-packs (for now). There are apparently going to be 190 of these guys released by the end of 2019, so the single-carded ones may end up in later multipacks.<\/p>\n

If that's not confusing enough for you, the bubbles that hide these are at least semi-translucent, meaning if you shine a bright enough light from one side, you might be able to make out the silhouette of whichever bot is inside.<\/p>\n

Series 2 is out, and features green bubbles instead of red. And instead of the code numbers being scratched into the bottom of the card, they're printed near the top.<\/p>\n
