Our subject today is Playmates' second series of <i>Darkwing Duck<\/i> toys.<\/p>\n<p>Playmates' 1991 <i>Darkwing Duck<\/i> line had a decent selection of characters (all the main heroes, a couple major villains, a couple secondary villains, and two vehicles), but Series 2 <b>really<\/b> would have rounded things out!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dwd2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dwd2-226x300.jpg\" title=\"click to embiggen\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sadly, this is just a typical story: slow sales on the first ones meant low orders for the second ones, so they never made it into production.
