They've got a figure of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/yo\/necavvend.php\">V<\/a> (from <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000PC0U1W\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=lp&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=B000PC0U1W\" target=amazon>V for Vendetta<\/a><\/i>, of course) due out... sometime. Soon. And while the movie is undeniably awesome, they've missed their deadline.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->How can you have a deadline for a figure from a movie that came out in spring? Today's November 5, kiddies. As in the rhyme?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Remember, remember, the fifth of November<br \/>\nGunpowder Treason and plot;<br \/>\nI know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason<br \/>\nShould ever be forgot.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And so forth. In any case, how could they not have V ready to go today? It'd be like releasing a figure of Santa Claus in January. It's not like I expect them to have it debut in stores on a Sunday, but it should have been out by now. The world today needs a regime change, and V (and Guy Fawkes) is a great reminder of that. But he's late for his own holiday!<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of potential reasons why we don't have V yet, and most of them wouldn't even be NECA's fault. So I don't really blame them, or hold any ill will, but it's just easier to point at them than, say, slow trans-Pacific shipping.
