But hey, we never said anything about the actual statue line!

Eloisa Lane and her little sister, Lucia, were the daughters of a career military man, so they spent most of their time with their mother, a dancer who ran a nightclub in Metropolis. Unfortunately, she caught the attention of Hugo Strange, who tired to cripple her after she spurned his advances. Eloisa wanted to see him go to jail for what he'd done, but ended up stumbling on an international smuggling ring in the process. The girl's got a natural nose for news!

The statue version of Lois definitely looked a lot older than 17, though it wouldn't make a ton of sense for a grownup to be a newsie, I suppose; one of the changes the story required when the Bombshells became more than just a line of pin-up art. The mini shares the statue's stance, one hand on her hip and the other holding up a newspaper (a newspaper, it should be pointed out, that is printed with the same headline and even [stylized] photo of Supergirl on the front page). She's not yelling here, just smiling sweetly, but her black hair blows in the same manner, she's till got her little brown cap, and she still doesn't understand how suspenders work. They're never gonna hold your pants up, girl, if they're hanging down around your hips.

Just like Lil Bombshells Series 1 received a full set of repaints as "Series 1.5," there was going to be a "Series 2.5," as well. Those were cancelled, but we do have concept art of what they would have been. Variant Lois would have had a completely redesigned colorscheme, with mainly blue clothes and a red vest. Is that supposed to be a more typically "Lois Lane-ish" combo? Due to watching Superman: the Animated Series, I think of Lois' color as purple, not blue. This would have just made her look like a Civil War re-enactor, so it's not really a shame it got cancelled.

And now, some more OAFEry:

DC Comics and Robot Chicken team up (again)

Rustin's Spoils of the Week #119

Rustin's Spoils of the Week #70.5

Rustin's Spoils of the Week #185

Curse you, Toyman!

And now, some more OAFEry:Captain Action addendum Soon Forget: Total Justice Steel DCSH Brainiac addendum First trailer for The Lego Movie We are important!
