This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figures today are N2Toys' Space Cadets<\/i>.<\/p>\n

As mentioned in today's Point of Articulation<\/a>, N2 was trying to expand beyond movie licenses and into original properties, including a line of \"bald women with big guns\" they called Space Cadets<\/a>. The first figure was shown off at Toy Fair 2001:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

However, Toy Fair 2002 saw several more potential figures on display!<\/p>\n

A promo spot in ToyFare<\/i> gave names to the first series of four figures: Cupcake, Spider, Mitzy, and Lulu (notice how they tried to hide Lulu's reused gun behind the other characters.)<\/p>\n

\"N2's first homegrown license is a mix of sci-fi and Baywatch<\/i>, with four gun-packin' uber-minxes. Look for the 6-inch figures later this year.\"<\/p><\/div>\n

And an Entertainment Earth product listing<\/a> for Series 2 gave us four more: Gretchen, Annette, Snowball, and Disco.<\/p>\n

That does, however, leave two Cadets unnamed: an orangey one with translucent blue guns, and one in a red bodysuit who's lounging on the ground:<\/p>\n

Of course, given what we know about Lulu<\/a>, we have to wonder if any of these other characters' weapons are similarly lifted from other companies.<\/p>\n
