In today's review of DCUC18 Samurai<\/a>, we compared his costume to a dress worn by Carol Burnett. Since most of you reading this aren't our moms, that probably doesn't mean anything to you. So here, take a look:<\/p>\n

That's the real dress from Gone With the Wind<\/a><\/i> on the left, and the parody on the right. The joke dress was designed by Bob Mackie - a designer so famous, you may have actually heard of him. He's even got a connection to the toy world, since several Mattel Barbies have worn Bob Mackie dresses (including one in this specific costume<\/a>). The dress itself is so iconic that it's on display in the Smithsonian<\/a>, so basically, it's the type of thing you should know if you want to consider yourself fluent in pop culture.<\/p>\n
