You may already be familiar with The Brick Testament<\/a> - the site's been running since 2001, so you've had plenty of time to find it (or have it shown to you by friends).<\/p>\n

<\/a>The site takes real Bible stories - not parodies, not jokes, the actual lines from the Bible - and meticulously illustrates them using Legos. They even have a a real, honest-to-god book<\/a>, which is available in stores everywhere. But not at Sam's Club.<\/p>\n

As reported by CNET<\/a>, Sam's Club received literally twos of complaints about the material being \"vulgar and violent,\" apparently from people who have never actually read their Bibles. It's a book filled with sexual acts and wild cruelty. That's why it was popular in the first place!<\/p>\n

One of the complaints came from Tabitha Grace, a woman who was so incensed by her own lack of knowledge about her chosen religion that she posted nearly identical complaints about the book on Facebook<\/a> and Amazon<\/a>. Unsurprisingly, the thrust of her argument seems to be that the book is inappropriate for children. Allow us to raise a few salient points:<\/p>\n

  3. Read your damn Bible, you stupid slag!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Bible is filled with vulgar and violent content. Every word in The Brick Bible: a New Spin on the Old Testament<\/i><\/a> comes unedited from the pages of the Bible<\/b>! And the author, Brendan Smith had already expurgated several passages at the request of Sam's Club, which means that the content Tabitha Grace objected to isn't even in<\/b> the book she's complaining about!
