One of two Deion Sanders commissions I made, though the fan who requested them only ever took this one. And, come to think of it, I don't think he ever paid me for it. I think I got hosed.
So sure, Deion Sanders is a weasely piece of crap, but when you're hired to make a figure, you don't have to care about that. Besides, it's not like McToys will ever make Sanders in that uniform. McFarlane's Sports Picks are perfect for customizing: since McToys already reuses the molds ad nauseum, any custom you make will blend right in.
Finding photo refernce of Sanders' time in Washington DC was the hardest part - all the fan sites tend to gloss over that in favor of his time with the Cowboys. I mixed the maroon and gold colors myself, since it was quicker than trying to find a "real" paint that was close enough to the official colors.
The indian heads on the sides of the helmet were drawn on with a fine-tip pen, then painted in.
What makes fans want my Sports Pick customs is the packaging - while I don't have millimeter-accurate paint jobs on these customs, no one else outside of McToys themselves makes packaging like this. The maroon on the packaging turned out a bit too magenta for my tastes, but since the owner got it for free, I don't feel too bad about it.
