OAFE Update for Thursday, May 20

Last week? Heat. This week? Unending rains. And unending rains? Mean wet basement. Fortunately, only a few of the precious, precious toys got damp.

Every two weeks or so, we've been taking a look at the Kingdom Come line of figures from DC Direct. The streak continues, thanks to the USPS and Wizard's customer service: http://www.oafe.net/yo/dcdkc0ra.php

Have you been following our May Madness tournament? Have you been voting? If not, then you may have missed your chance. We're down to the final eight teams, er, companies, and not everyone you might expect to see on the list is there. Make sure you check out http://www.oafe.net/articulation/ for the fun of Week 3.

Last week your email preview was one of the newest, hottest figures around. We're timely! For a change. Get your revenge boots on and speed over to http://www.oafe.net/yo/kb1_bride.php for all the killer fun.

News out of the McFarlane camp this week is that the Conan figures have been unveiled. Let us know what you think at http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=260 Is this line going to be king, or just inspire the lamentations of your women?

Wednesday's review was a figure that's just hitting clearance and is well worth it. Man! Puss in Boots last week, and now this: people are going to think we don't hate McFarlane Toys if this keeps up. http://www.oafe.net/yo/mcmatapu.php

Anybody going to Wizard World east this weekend? If so, then you're probably on your way out the door. While you're there, be sure to stop by the Shocker Toys booth for a chance to win part of the $800 toy prize pot. All the details can be found at http://www.action-figure.com/Article11650.html Cool stuff, all around!

Anybody have a MAC Futurama Bender they want to get rid of? Poe's looking for one: http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=7;t=24 And if you're willing to spend a few extra dollars on some hard-to-find figures, you might want to check out http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=10;t=6 for a site that may have a deal for you.

Most important of all, don't forget about our OAFEicial SDCC trading post: toy fans just like you are looking to bring home the con exclusives that they'll otherwise never see, and you may be the key to their salvation. Or at least their wallet's salvation. If you're going to a con this summer, stop by http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=7;t=23 before you go.

Con-goers: stay safe, have fun, watch your pockets. Everyone else: keep playing with your toys!
