OAFEnet Update for Thursday, April 12

The OAFEnet Email Update: so it goes.

  • It's easy to forget that coral is a living creature. It looks so fragile, so brittle, so... dead. But it's not. It lives, and it can defend itself. You scratch yourself on the wrong piece of coral, and you can get one nasty infection. Of course, some coral can defend itself even more impressively.
  • If there is one thing you know to be true, it is this: change frightens the fanboys. Whether it's Spider-Man's organic webshooters or Daniel Craig being hired to play James Bond, anything that doesn't cater specifically to the fans is met with howls of anger. Sometimes the things that do cater specifically to the fans is met with that, too.
  • This week's Transformers Tuesday is an oldie, but makes up for that by also being a triple. Ignite your lightsabers, draw Excalibur and capture the Green Destiny.
  • Your final review for the week is a figure from a company we've never covered before, because this is pretty much their first attempt at making real toys. It's also from a brand-new property that's getting its first merchandise. That's a whole lot of firsts, and that can be dangerous. Is it?
