This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figure today is SOTA Toys' Dee Jay.
Sculpted by the same bloke as the majority of these figures, Will Harbottle, Deejay was far enough along in the process to be shown to the public, with the placard at his feet informing us he was planned for Series 5-- sorry, "Round 5" of the Street Fighter toyline.
But changes in plans meant that Series 5 was dropped, then eventually rebranded as "Street Fighter Revolutions" and filled with characters who needed to be made immediately in case that was the end of the line - a category that does not include Deejay. Well, barring some amazing turnaround, the Dhalsim yo reviewed today is definitely the end of Street Fighter from SOTA, so even without any official announcement, it's an easy guess to say Dee Jay is not going to be made.
