This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our selection today is N2 Toys' Mad Max: The Road Warrior vehicles.
Before being shamed into changing their name due to their poor work with The Tick, N2 had some success with Mad Max, releasing two series in 2000 and 2001. At Toy Fair 2002, they showed off the V-8 Interceptor and the Gyrocopter.
The car would have come with swappable front ends: intact or smashed.
Neither of them would have come with their drivers; hope you already had the Series 1 releases!
Neither of these rides ended up being released. And although a new Mad Max movie is coming out next week, no one seems to have the license for it, so it remains the only way to get that iconic car is via model kit.
