Lego Batman Minifigures: Poison Ivy review

Mini-Figure Mini-Reviews

Dr. Pamela Isley used to be a botanist, but her obsession with plants led her to become the super-villain Poison Ivy, using her powers over all things green and growing to try to transform Gotham City into a vegetable paradise free of humans and other pesky animals. Her toxin-infused body is immune to all poisons, and the effects of her kiss can range from mesmerizing to worse.

Bat-Fact: Her middle name is Daisy.

Bat-Fact: no it isn't. Pamela Lillian Isley. The only way to get this figure at retail is in set 70908, "The Scuttler." I'd have been getting Ivy no matter what, but this may be the best minifigure ever. This complicated hair brick is new, with old-fashioned curls on one side and a white flower sticking out of her hair on the other. They've leaned into the "pin-up" feeling for this design: she's wearing a green corset, tampoed with leaves on the front and laces on the back, and her legs are printed with fishnets. There is so much detail here! A softgoods skirt sits between the halves of the body, and it has a jagged edge like leaves. As often, Lego's painted her two faces: one with the mouth open slightly, the other kissing. If you buy the set, you'll also get pieces to build a little platform of vines to carry her around.
