This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our subject today is Playmates' second series of Darkwing Duck toys.
Playmates' 1991 Darkwing Duck line had a decent selection of characters (all the main heroes, a couple major villains, a couple secondary villains, and two vehicles), but Series 2 really would have rounded things out!
Sadly, this is just a typical story: slow sales on the first ones meant low orders for the second ones, so they never made it into production. What a loss!
