TMNT is back, baby!

Per Deadline, as the new Mutant Mayhem movie is nearing the $100 million box office mark, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a brand has already earned over $1 billion in sales this year.

in the style of the 1980s cartoon TMNT logo, the phrase "Bringing Home One Billion Dollars"

Between 2012 and 2022, TMNT earned $8 billion for Paramount. But this year, they're really flooding the market - it's not just Playmates and NECA and Super7 (and Hasbro and Mattel and Funko) (and Crayola and Crocs and Build-A-Bear), but over 1,100 licensees total. And all that has added up to a full billion in sales before the year's even over. That's a lot of pizza!

How much did you add to that billion so far in 2023?

Actually nothing this year. Haven't bought any new TMNT stuff since the 2013 series ended.

Almost got the van from Rise but didn't for some reason or other.

Some of the figures for Mutant Mayhem have caught my eye, particularly the villians, but I haven't been too eager yet. Maybe if a site I trusted did some reviews... 😛

  2. I’m glad Mutant Mayhem has earned its budget back. If it has legs, slow & steady will win the box office. It’s a really fun movie!
So far I've bought Zog, ultimate toon April, & Dreadmon this year. I fear that if I purchase the new Leatherhead, I'll be compelled to get the rest of the Mutant Mayhem figures to go with her. I might have to get the new Wingnut anyway. I'll probably need the Professor Perry two-pack just because it's David Warner. We're really due for figures of Paige Turco as April.

About $66 for me. I only got Last Ronin and Mirage Slash this year.

None for me. So far at our local Toys R Us they still only have Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff, and that's a show that I'm just not into.

But the moment I see any of the retro stuff...
