The New Yorker<\/i> is, of course, famous for its cartoons<\/a>, which are often weirdly offbeat or sometimes just plain ol' inscrutable.<\/p>\n

A decade or so ago, a gentleman by the name of Charles Lavoie posited that nearly every comic could be given the same caption and still work perfectly fine: \"Christ, what an asshole!\"<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(Yes, it even works for non-New Yorker<\/i> comics<\/a>, too.)<\/p>\n

A few years later, a second universal caption was discovered: \"I'd like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn.\"<\/p>\n

In February, a third reared its head<\/a>:<\/p>\n

But now, now<\/b> we have the ultimate one-size-fits-all caption<\/a>. Take it away, Capwolf<\/a>!<\/p>\n
