So Shang-Chi<\/a><\/i> had a great opening, and doesn't look to have any competition this weekend either, so it will probably continue to be #1 at the box office. We usually bring you GI Joe<\/i> content on Fridays, so here's a way to combine both those facts.<\/p>\n

In the United Kingdom, \"GI Joe\" was instead branded \"Action Force\". Most of the characters were the same, with just some changes to their birthplaces - for example, Flint<\/a> being from Lincoln, England, rather than Wichita, Kansas. The idea was to make them a more international team (and thus make that international money).<\/p>\n

The Action Force<\/i> comic contained reprints from the American book, original stories, and reprints of other Marvel comics. Action Force<\/i> #18 began running Shang-Chi stories, so in #17, they had an original story introducing the character to readers, by way of having Quick Kick<\/a> reminisce about his mentor Shang-Chi (and the other Marvel martial artists he's met):<\/p>\n
