Out on the road for another two weeks, these are a mix of the things I could find, needed to buy to stay sane, and were gifted by my Boss when i jokingly asked for Thor<\/i> and Green Lantern<\/i> toys. I bid you sweet enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Hasbro - Captain America: Captain Britain<\/b>
\n<\/a>Hooboy is this a cool figure. Nice execution and sculpt of a pretty appealing costume but its the metallic paint that really does me in. I held off on getting this for so long because it's nearly impossible to find good paint on the bulk of the Captain America<\/i> line, but this was good enough. The sword is a pretty cool addition too (forget about the repainted Iron Man<\/i> cannon). I really like the torso and neck balljoints on this line, which allow for a surprisingly natural looking list for figures hoisting accessories.<\/p>\n

Hasbro - G.I. Joe: Cobra Commander<\/b>
\n<\/a>Man... considering how great the rest of this line has been this figure is nearly offensive in its un-cool-ness. The body is the same from the movie<\/a> and Series 1<\/a> Cobra Commander, but with a new jacket piece over the torso and new head. The head is the best part of the figure with the helmet being glued on to the highly silver face mask. This gives it a more \"realistic\" proportionality and avoids the loose-helmet scourge of previous iterations. The jacket torso is just plain boring. In a line where Firefly<\/a> has wicked aerial armor and Destro<\/a> comes in full assault armor, an \"adventure jacket\" with ascot is really disappointing. It would ruin the figure if the cape weren't so bad. The cloth isn't stellar but its the wide collar on the sculpted jacket and the bulky gold claps that make this thing just look ridiculous. Tons of accessories though, several of which I don't understand and most which can not be held.<\/p>\n

Hasbro - Star Wars: Senate Guard<\/b>
\n<\/a>Picked up a second of one the very best figures to come from the Vintage<\/i> line this year.<\/p>\n

Habsro - Thor: Battle Hammer Thor<\/b>
\n<\/a>I only have this \"Sir Does-Not-Appear-In-This-Movie\" costume because of my boss, and it actually turns out to be a solid figure. As you seen in the photo I was actually able to get him into somewhat more interesting poses than \"regular\" Thor, and the flowing pelvis ribbons actually add a nice dynamism to the figure. This is totally passable in that its a mediocre costume that's not in the film, but its still a fun toy I don't hate, which is what I expected. I still can't for the life of me understand why this exists and would\/is so clearly warm pegs.<\/p>\n

Mattel - DC Universe Classics: The Spectre (Variant)<\/b>
\n<\/a>Usually I'm not that into supporting DCUC beyond the bare minimum, but when setting up my figures a few months back I realized I needed a second Spectre so I could have one with my JSA and one with my Paranormals (Deadman<\/a>, etc.), so this glow-in-the-dark variant had my name all over it. Fairly happy it comes with the right arm of Darkseid<\/a> so I have a spare mecha glove should the need ever arise to DESTROY LIFE!<\/p>\n

Mattel - Green Lantern: Mask & Ring<\/b>
\n<\/a>In all honestly I had been tempted by this from the get go. Sorry, I'm just that kind of nerd. Fortunately my boss is half Betazoid and empathed my desire. Its literally exactly what you would imagine. A flexible but firm\/thick mask and re-tool of the ring that comes with the four-inch figures, which of course means its a pink-ring at best. The twist here is it lights up - push the bump in the center of the lantern icon and the glows for two approximately 3 second pulses. TOO FUN!<\/p>\n

McFarlane - Halo Reach: UNSC Trooper Support Staff<\/b>
\n<\/a>I am a sucker for Troopers figures and Battle Builders, so here I am making the same mistake as I did with series 1 of the two-packs. Included here are a Medic Trooper and a Radio Trooper, both use the same core body as the previous troopers and the ODSTs, which means they have no<\/b> bicep articulation which ruins<\/b> the poseability of the figures. To a most casual fan, such as myself, the variations between the first two pack and this one are very subtle, with the most notable being the new backpacks. Its a shame there weren't more new accessories or more specialized helmets\/paint to really help these guys stand out.<\/p>\n
