It's been a while since we actually remembered to celebrate our birthday. Last one was the 20th Anniversary Espectacular, so it's time to give you an update.<\/p>\n
On August 20th, 2002, Poe announced to the world what we'd been working on for a few months at that point: a new action figure website. Originally just a collection of links to our reviews on a site that is long gone, dead, forgotten, and buried, we soon began hosting our own content here. Which was clearly the right choice, since we're still here and they're not.<\/p>\n
The biggest change recently is one behind the scenes. Every time we've done these updates before, we were mainly just ballparking the numbers, because actually counting everything every year was time-consuming and tedious. Finally, someone had the bright idea to suggest we start keeping a spreadsheet of all our work, which how we can (fairly) confidently tell you we've done 7,650 reviews of 17,412 figures.<\/p>\n
(Truly more than that, but there are more than 20 reviews that are on the site and waiting, but haven't actually been posted yet, so they don't count yet.)<\/p>\n
Each and every one of those posts is packed with more information than you can find anywhere else - no fill-in-the-blank, cookie-cutter reviews here. We've reviewed everything from the newest thing on shelves to the oldest thing in our toyboxes.<\/p>\n
