Imagine my surprise to see this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/trucolumbia.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"505\" alt=\"A storefront Toys R Us in a fancy mall.\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p>That's not a seasonal pop-up, not in April. This is one of their new \"flagship\" locations, meant to be permanent. Like Will said himself, it's basically just a thinly disguised Go Calendars, and is in a space that's probably about 50% too big for it (with prices to match), but there's something special about experiencing this, almost eight years after <a href=\"\/articulation\/1804c.php\">the last TRU I saw<\/a>, because of my internet pal Will.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the pictures in his memorial slideshow were of him in his old TRU uniform, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oafe.net\/blog\/?p=26036\">back when they wore red shirts instead of blue<\/a>. Will never stopped being a Toys \"&#1071;\" Us kid, and now thanks to him, I get to be one at least one more day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After going to Will's viewing today, I stopped at his mall on my way home.
