Here, from <i>Invincible Iron Man<\/i> #1 and 2, are a few shots of the new mask in various lighting conditions:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/masque1.jpg\" width=\"455\" height=\"575\" alt=\"A collage of shots of Madame Masque, showing how different her face is from the rest of her skintone.\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p>Notice that it's always lighter than her skin.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Here's a shot of Tony contemplating the mask, proving that the intention was for it to be clear:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/masque2.jpg\" width=\"275\" height=\"435\" alt=\"Tony Stark sits forlornly, staring into the eyes of Madame Masque's mask. In the back, his thumb is visible through the surface.\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p>Short of doing the mask as a translucent piece that plugged into the toy's head, there's no way to accomplish that look on an action figure. But the least they could have done is to make sure it's not the same color as her neck:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/masque3.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"360\" alt=\"With the mask being nearly white, she now looks like a member of Kiss.\" class=\"aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p>Let's overlay that on the regular image to get a sense of how it would look:<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/yo\/art\/hml_mmcb1.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"455\" alt=\"Madame Masque\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/masque3.jpg\" width=\"99\" height=\"105\" title=\"Peekaboo!\" style=\"margin:2px 65px 0px -171px; border:3px solid #ffffff; padding:-3px; vertical-align:top\"><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Not bad.
