The Amazing Digital Circus<\/i> was created by Gooseworx, \"Ragathawhich sounds like a company name but is actually a person. We'd call that weird, but none of us are using our real names, so who are we to judge? Anyway, Gooseworx The Person (read like \"Portugal. The Man<\/a>\") is apparently a fan of the 1977 animated movie Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure<\/i>, a film she's gone on about at length even before becoming a successful creator on her own, and so one of the Circus residents references that in a pretty obvious way. (It's Jax. Jax's<\/a> voice is based on Andy.)<\/p>\n

Ragatha is perennially upbeat and optimistic, to the point where everyone else starts to get the feeling she's being insincere; there is such a thing as toxic positivity, after all. She's been in the Circus the second-longest (after Kinger<\/a>), and feels it's her job to keep everyone's spirits up, though she's started to realize that this can make her come across as patronizing and is trying to tone it down.<\/p>\n

\"thisClearly, Ragatha is a ragdoll in the style of Raggedy Ann<\/a>: cloth body, blue dress, stringy red hair. She's even got a red triangle for a nose, making her the only character on the show to have one. Her right eye is a big blue button that's stitched into place, and her left is painted with three lashes. To make sure we know she's a girl. The patches stitched on her dress are molded (as are the stitches themselves), and she's got a confident, friendly, welcoming pose, with one hand on her hip and the other gently waving.<\/p>\n
