This is a good multi-layered joke. If you're not familiar with all those figures, then you've just got a bunch of randos on the deck with Kirk, which is pretty funny in itself; but if you look closer, you'll notice that all the characters are actors who appeared in the new Star Trek film, seen here in toy form from other roles they've had:
- Zachary Quinto (Spock) as Sylar
- Zoe Saldana (Uhura) as Neytiri
- Simon Pegg (Scotty) as Shaun
- Rachel Nichols (Gaila) as Scarlett
- Karl Urban (Bones) as Eomer
- Anton Yelchin (Chekhov) as Kyle Reese
Technically we should've used the new movie Kirk figure, but the Diamond Select one is just better, plus we've got the command chair. And yes, we know Gaila almost certainly wasn't on the Enterprise, but the figure handy was anyway, may as well use it.
As for the stardate, it's correct: Kirk last wore the green shirt (chronologically) in "The Immunity Syndrome," which has log entries from 4307.1 to 4309.4. You just got nerd-served!
