"Batboys and Indimans"

In the past few months DC Direct has given us toys of Batman as a cowboy and an indian - they just needed to be put together.
The line about "who's writing the story" doesn't have anything to do with comics; it's about history. It used to be that the cowboys were viewed as the heroes in the telling of the tale, then the perspective shifted to depict the indians as the victims of encroaching Europeans. So, who would be the hero and the villain? Depends on what bias the author is trying to push.
