Some folks claimed that Lego's new direction meant the end of the traditional "free play" values the company had always touted, that sets with storylines and defined characters limited the fun kids could have. Well, the Lego Club soon disproved that when they began offering alternate instructions for the Bionicle sets.
This tiny bird makes its home among the molten lava near Ta-Koro. Living in the midst of lava helps the infernavika survive, as there are few predators that will venture too near an active volcano.
How cool is this little fire chicken? Not only does it make good use of those weird little Bohrok Va sets that are on clearance everywhere, but it looks cool as well. You can pose him at the neck, wings and legs, and you can use different colored krana to give him beautiful plumage.
Instructions for building this set are available online for free to members of the Lego Club in the "Buildit" section.
