Motormaster is based on Randy Savage. Randy Savage was a spokesman for Slim Jim snacks. A slim jim is also a device used for unlocking car doors. Motormaster turns into a car (or a vehicle, at any rate). It all comes full-circle! Snap into a Slim Jim!
We had to crop her out, but Drag Strip is the "girlfriend" in question - she's in altmode down by their feet. The original text even said she "locked her keys inside her car mode," but that joke made less sense when you couldn't see her.
