A mysterious man who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men and wears a wide-brimmed hat, suit and cape, plus slightly obscures his face and has a tendency to appear and disappear at will - now, are we talking about the Phantom Stranger or the Shadow? Since a 1994 Kenner figure is necessarily going to be shorter than a 2013 Mattel figure, we made them look similar by using an old cinematic trick: the Shadow is closer to the camera, and thus he looks bigger. Having Shadow's speech ballons be black with white letters is a nod to the current comics from Dynamite Entertainment, which do the same thing. Vision-Impaired Transcript Shadow: Gee, real original character design you've got there, Mac. Phantom Stranger: But I know many mysteries! Shadow: Yeah, yeah, get in line.
