"Shoot Them Both to be Sure"
6/25/24

Autobot Chase points wrist guns at Tasmania Kid and the Looney Tunes Tasmanian Devil, who are standing side by side before him

The fact that Tasmania Kid doesn't really look at all like a real Tasmanian devil just makes him part of a long tradition, one begun by Looney Tunes' Taz.

The initial idea of putting the two of them next to each other in a "you'll have to kill us both" situation was simple enough; the only question was who would be the one facing the dilemma? A fellow Transformer, obviously, but whom? Windblade? Nah, she's too composed to freak out like this. Sideswipe or Sunstreaker? Eh, that's fine, but we could do better, right? Of course! Chase! He's a cop, he'd naturally be stupid and panicky! He's perfect! And you know he'll end up killing them both anyway, even if they're not presenting any kind of threat, because there's no such thing as a cop who's not a trigger-happy coward. In real life, cops kill 25-30 pets every goddamn day in America.

When we say all cops are bastards, we really mean ALL cops are bastards.

Taz's inarticulate growling is taken directly from the Looney Tunes/DC Comics crossovers from a few years back: we didn't know the best way to depict the sounds he makes, but we figured WB would.

Taz: GRGGGHRRGGKKK!
Tasmania Kid: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
