Caine can't always run everything by himself, which is why he's got a little assistant. Except the assistant is part of the same program, so technically he is still running everything by himself; Bubble just gives him someone to talk to out loud. Like the point of Batman having a Robin. Bubble is a floating translucent... air ball of some sort? There has to be a word for that. I thought Bubble was a girl, based on the voice, but according to the official info he's a he. Okay, we can remember that. He's got big sharp fangs and plain black eyes, and seems to live in Caine's hat. The toy's tint isn't quite as purple as the animation model, but they did at least mold it from translucent plastic.
Because it's tough to make a physical toy float freely in mid-air for more than a few hours at a time, Moose Toys had to find a way to support Bubble. Taking a cue from the pilot, they've molded him with his tongue stuck way out to lick the floor (Pomni got overwhelmed, and Bubble was on clean-up duty). The tongue really is big enough to act as a stand for the figurine, and looks just like it did in the episode - this is a cheat, no doubt, but it's a perfect one that doesn't draw attention to itself. Smart, smart work!
