Today's DC Direct Crisis on Infinite Earths Series 2 Battle-Armor Lex Luthor review told you how the power armor was designed for the Kenner Super Powers line, then back-adapted into the comics.
But while the basic shape was always the same, there's some potential other universe out there where the colors were different. In the pitch for the 1984's Series 1, Luthor is present in his now-iconic armor, but the body is gray and the limbs are purple, with some bright green accents scattered about.
It's still the classic "Lex Luthor" colorscheme, just different than what we've been seeing for the past 30 years. What a change that would have been!
