Soon Forget: BST AXN Lydia Deetz

This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figure today is The Loyal Subjects' Beetlejuice Lydia.

Lydia was sculpted by Tom Chouinard for the BST AXN line, just like Beetlejuice himself. She would have included an umbrella, a book, a candle, her camera, and (presumably, since Beej had already come with Ginger the Spider) a baby sandworm. There even would have been a variant available, with all the same accessories, but with a purple dress instead of her spider-web poncho.

The figures were put up for preorder, but then nothing was ever heard of them again. We've waited a year, to give The Loyal Subjects the benefit of the doubt, to give them the chance to get Lydia out or even give an update on her status, but as of now, both versions seem to be bound for the Neitherworld waiting room.
