Week 2 of our look at the remaining unreleased Earthworm Jim toys. Our subject today is the memorable "Professor Monkey-For-A-Head".
One of the major recurring villains in the cartoon, Playmates probably thought holding Professor Monkey-For-A-Head back for Series 2 would help future sales. And maybe he would have, if he'd made it into production.
The glimpse of Jim's arm in the product catalogue shot reveals how they were planning to make a figure that's secretly two in one: by making him noticeably smaller than the rest. He still would have used a lot more plastic, though. Perhaps that expense would have been balanced out by Evil Jim.
