OAFEnet Update for Thursday, November 1

Halloween: the night the OAFEnet Email Update came home.

Welcome back, trick-or-treaters. You've emerged from your sugar coma just in time to catch up on this week's big batch of reviews and other goodies.

  • Poe started us off this week, with a look at an orphaned figure - one who was planned as part of a whole series, but became the only one to survive the line's cancellation. Toys without parents need special love! See if this one's worth it.
  • yo's first review is a big, monstrous figure that everyone would love to have in their collection. But is it because of the figure's merits, or is this a case of YDD Syndrome? Only one place to find out. Be sure to follow the big link to our blog, while you're there. There's a related post that might really surprise you.
  • What was your Halloween costume this year? Doesn't matter, this one was better.
  • On Monday, we posted a new Horror Month Figuretoon, and it's already spawned a fan-favorite catchphrase! Get in on the next big trend!
  • For no good reason, we also posted a bonus review on the same day. This is an oldie, but for some reason, has also turned into a fan favorite. Beware: if you're anything like the rest of our readers, checking out this review will make you want to do some shopping.
  • We followed that review up with a science fiction double feature. It's astounding, but time is fleeting and madness takes it toll. So listen closely (not for very much longer) - time warp over to check out this wild and untamed thing before it's lost in time and lost in space. And meaning.
  • Want to learn something odd and unexpected about one of the most-requested characters for the Legendary Heroes line? Too bad, read it anyway.
  • Do you have a lot of money to spend and fond memories of the 80s? Then this week's Transformers Tuesday is for you! Witness the amazement of getting exactly what you always wanted.
  • Our final Horror Month review has a wonderfully creepy name. Of course, it would sound better in Latin, but what wouldn't? Or maybe even pseduo-latin. French, maybe? Prepare yourself for the horror of a joke only your high school science teacher would get.

And that, dear readers, is the end of Horror Month. We've reached the end, there is no more. Of course, like any good slasher flick, we need to have that hand pop up out of the ground in the last frame, so there will probably be some more horrific reviews showing up soon.
