The (Decepti-)Contraption

Next TF Collaborative design just dropped!

the diagram of the homemade gun that killed Shinzo Abe, aka "The Contraption," above retouched art of Megatron designed to look like he's been formed from that gun: wooden plank limbs, duct tape around his arms and legs, two gun barrels with wires leading to batteries, etc.

I don't know if this is very funny.

    • OAFE says:

Of course you don't, every time you try to post something you prove you don't understand the concept of "funny."

      Anyway, happy anniversary!

I live on the same island you do and would like to cordially invite you to grow a backbone and a sense of humour.

    • precios brackets says:

Guess, because his death scared the country into being less conservative and more progressive, and you hate that?

  2. J. K. Lolling says:

This might be a cultural thing, admittedly, but on my 'backwards little island', we've actually had two politicians murdered in public within the past decade, and I don't think the popular consensus was that either of those occasions were funny or worthy of celebration.

    • Adam says:

Where either of them weird nationalists with ties to a cult? And more importantly, were either of them killed with a comical doohickey?

    • yo go re says:

Yeah, it almost assuredly is a cultural thing: less than a month ago a right-wing loser decided to play dress-up as a cop so he could attack Democratic lawmakers; one of them died, and the other was just released from the hospital yesterday. We're an entire nation that's been brain-poisoned by gun culture to the point where we don't (I'd say "can't," but that incorrectly absolves us of responsibility) even recognize how bad it is anymore.

Back in 2021, I came across a YT video (that's since been removed) titled "'Pumped up kicks' playing on the PA system while you’re in the restroom hiding from the shooter." It was exactly what it sounds like: a tinny, muted version of the song playing over a photo of a school bathroom. This is what we've done to our kids' minds and souls by refusing to do anything to save them, this is the kind of depression we've foisted upon them. No sane generation would find that funny. No kid who's growing up with a healthy childhood would make that. No kid who's growing up with a healthy childhood would need to. And that, definitely, is on American culture as a whole...
