Usually this happens later in the month, but this year, Hasbro's putting their summer con exclusives up for sale on Hasbro Pulse today. And while the Void Rivals set might have been interesting, the figures in it are the crummy O-ring style, instead of modern quality.

Void Rivals is the book that sneakily introduced Skybound Entertainment's "Energon Universe," but the fact the Transformers sometimes show up in it is about the least interesting thing it has going on. It's just a good, solid, sci-fi story that's able to stand on its own without relying on the tie-ins as a crutch.
But it's likely these may be the only figures we ever receive from it, so for them to be this style makes the set not worth spending money on. If they'd been good, even being saddled with Jetfire wouldn't have brought this one out of the "buy" pile, but now this is just a way to save $115.

I was interested in the Spider-Man/MtG figures, but 40 bucks a pop? I have friends who play Magic, and I'm pretty sure one card doesn't cost $20...
