MOTU He-Man addendum

Today's review of Mattel's Masters of the Universe He-Man action figure discussed the fact that the toy's eventual "anime" look as not the Four Horsemen's original intent. Here, rather, is the more "barbarian" design they would have gone with:

As you can see, they also made it to the sculpting phase:

What could have been, eh?

As appropriate for the character as the alternative head may have been, I think it's quite apparent why the children in the focus groups chose the softer, friendlier face.
