For the third time, my camera has reached "IMG_9999" and rolled over to new numbers, starting with this photo:
Last time we did one of these, I said my camera seemed like it was going to break soon, and it turns out it did. This was the final photo that one took, 2,498 pics later:
So at that point, it was time for a new camera, which was inaugurated like this:

New camera is currently being held together with literal rubber bands. Always a good sign.
My camera is also held together by rubber bands because the tiny tab holding the battery in broke.

Sony, actually. It broke because the strap got caught on a terrain piece and flung out of my hands, ricocheting off the wall. The only damage was to the battery tab!
The solution I use is a rubber band and one of those purse-shaped paper clips.
I used to just add every rubber band from a toy I opened onto the bundle of them holding the battery door closed, but now companies don't use those any more...
