Licensed Contest of Champions

On October 29, 2014, Marvel Comics released the Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration comic, honoring the company's big anniversary. In addition to new and classic stories, there were a bunch of one-page gag entries under the collective heading "Celebrating the Best Marvel Comics Never Made." Including this gem:

a big fight scene in which every participant has been blacked out and redacted. Notes are scribbled on it saying things like Uh-Uh! No way! I don't know about this! Are you crazy? Is this even legal? Forget it! and there's a post-it note stuck to the top demanding someone call an ACTUAL lawyer. Even the promo copy on the bottom has been scratched out, but you can still make out Godzilla vs. Shogun Warriors! NFL SuperPro vs. Rom! And whose side are the Micronauts on? All done with the original comics' logos.

Artist Alan Davis drew the whole scene, Mark Farmer inked it, and then it was presumably up to Rachelle Rosenberg to be the one to expurgate all the unacceptable bits. To prove it, here's the original art:

Okay, so the reason GI Joe, the Transformers, Care Bears, etc. aren't included is because this is specifically about licensed characters who, like Rom: Spaceknight, were not just published by Marvel, but also integrated into the normal Marvel 616 continuity. That's fine. But if that's the case, where's Conan? Where's The Doctor? Where's ALF?

Man, I miss when Red Sonja and Conan were de facto Marvel characters.
