OAFE Update for Thursday, May 27

Well, friends and readers, May is almost over, and we churn ever-deeper into the unknown territory some men call "Convention Season." Wizard World East was last weekend and, well, nothing came of it. Not to disparage Wizard World or anythintg, but everyone holds the big surprises for the big cons, and that means SDCC.

Are you going to SDCC? Then WE NEED YOUR HELP! WE ALSO NEED TO TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK! You may have seen this link at the top of every single OAFEnet page, but in case you didn't, click your con-goin' self over to http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=7;t=23 and help your fellow fans feel fulfilled.

It's official: fans do not like the new Minimate packaging. When you can't see what you're buying, it just increases the chances of fraud. That mainly applies to the mass-market four-packs, though, so if you're buying, buy small! Friday we took a look at a really cool hero and villain pair of the little 2" guys: http://www.oafe.net/yo/mmmtd.php

And if tiny villains are your thing, then you might just dig Sunday's new review, a look at a swingin' Asian chick. Buru sera fans take heart! http://www.oafe.net/yo/kb1_gogo.php

Have you voted in week four of our May Madness? With companies this great competing, it can be hard to choose. Don't forget to go to http://www.oafe.net/articulation to see who's up against whom.

Has anyone played with the Xevoz? Those things are addictive. We reviewed one a while ago, but check out what Poe has to say about the line: http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=264

Your email preview from last week got posted Tuesday. What's big, green and has a dangling Peter? No, it's not the Hulk without pants. http://www.oafe.net/yo/ms_goblin.php

Wednesday, Shocka came out of nowhere with a review of a toy that's a slight update of an older offering. What changes were made? What changes should have been? And what's that green spoo taste like? http://www.oafe.net/shocka/tmnt_foot.php

Hey, remember when Tortured Sould 3 was going to be called "The Dark carnival?" Well, now that's been divorced from the TS line, but the figures are still a go. Get a peek at the very first image at http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=265

Today's new review takes a look at a robot who lives underground. Why would a robot live underground? Who knows. Still cool, though: http://www.oafe.net/yo/biontmwh.php
