This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figure today is Hasbro and Takara's Bumblebee.
Bumblebee would have been part of the Alternators/Binaltech line, as revealed last month in The Transformers: Binaltech & TF Collection Complete Guide, a coffee table book released last month in Japan:
Sadly for those of us wishing for the return of Bumblebee, VW is not interested in promoting "war toys," so they wouldn't license out the Beetle's design. What a shame!
