- JOE FRIDAY! There are, the internet tells me, at least two Scarlett action figures in the movie's tie-in line - this one, featuring Shana in urban camo digs, and another which'll show her off in her swish futuristic bodysuit. Since that one's nowhere to be seen yet (presumably set for a later series), Scarlett's looking decidedly mundane for now...
- During Indie Spotlight's long, long, LONG development, the one figure we never really got a clear look at was Katchoo - every time Shocker would bring prototypes to a show, the photos that came out afterward failed to show her off properly. We even joked that she'd been SCULPTED blurry, but make no mistake, the final figure looks very crisp...
- If you appeared in "Star Wars" for half a second, wearing a cloak, hiding behind a column, and were in fact just some Tunisian guy who wandered onto the set not realizing they were filming, there's an action figure of you, so naturally Tiin gets his little plastic replica, based off his appearance in the "Clone Wars" animated series...
- MARVEL MONDAY! You'll recall that Wonder Man has worn some of the most god-awful eyesores to ever grace the printed page - this Minimate gives us one of those. For some reason, after Civil War Wondy reverted to his ridiculous smoking jacket, because nothing says "superhero" like a liesure suit. The detailing on the jacket is good, with fine lines...
- Vashj isn't just someone they made up who may or may not turn up later on in the comic. Vashj's voice actress Barbara Goodson (of "Fraggle Rock," among other things) describes her as "strong, full of conviction, and passionate," which is a bit of a worry - throwing "passionate" into any character description is like a red rag to the Rule 34 artists...
- TRANSFORMERS TUESDAY! If you recall our review of the 6" Titanium "Cybertron Heroes" figure (or perhaps our recent Figuretoon), you know that The Fallen is a multiversal singularity: that means there's only one of him anywhere ever. This Optimus Prime and this Optimus Prime are two different characters, but the Fallens they fought are 100% the same...
- Korg is the Series 3 deluxe figure, which means that like Lady Vashj, he's sold in a large box, rather than normal plastic packaging. That makes perfect sense when you realize he's 9" tall and about 11 1/2" wide: this guy is a real monster! Even the Seventh Kingdom's Xetheus and the Mynothecean Guards are dwarfed by this guy. The only one who shares...
- Lest you think I'm just heaping unfair stereotypes on "WoW"ers, I should add that while I don't play it myself, on "Diablo II" I have an 87th level Assassin (every XP earned solo too, no multiplayer boosting), and yes, gents, I *am* single. On another topic, how come warlocks can't summon incubi as well? It's not like all warlocks are male...
